Summary:

Westchester Medical Center has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Physician Assistant (PA) to work alongside a busy Orthopedic physician and be an integral part of the Orthopedic health care team at the Valhalla, NY office location. This Ortho practice specializes in sports medicine, complex knee and shoulder reconstructions and knee replacements. The PA will provide assistance in the OR and also maintain office hours. This is a Monday through Friday position with periodic flexibility required.Essential Job Functions & Duties

• Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive healthcare services
• Obtain medical histories and perform physical examinations
• Request and evaluate diagnostic tests and render a diagnosis
• Provide indicated treatment and follow-up instructions
• Prescribe medications as indicated
• Perform aspirations and injections
• Application and removal of traction, casts, splints, and other immobilization devices and equipment

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Current New York State licensure as a Physician Assistant
• Orthopedic experience as a Physician Assistant preferred, new graduates welcome to apply
• Flexibility with hours and duties as required
