Education and length of practice are considered through a formal pay-setting process to determine the final compensable salary (Base Pay + Market Pay) Besides a commitment to providing outstanding care to hospitalized patients, in our program, every hospitalist has a prominent programmatic role in resident, medical student and other learner education. The hospitalists have more learner contact than almost any other specialty at our facility and are an essential part of our affiliated medical college's faculty. Learner evaluations are tracked program wide and are a part of each provider's formal professional evaluation.
