Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
The Marion VA Medical Center, Marion Illinois, is seeking enthusiastic and skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA) to join our Surgery Service Team. The CRNA functions under the supervision and general direction of the Chief of Anesthesia Section (Anesthesiologist) or the operating room surgeon when providing care for a specific patient, to safely provide anesthesia to surgical patients for a variety of operations and/or procedures. The CRNA performs pre-anesthesia patient evaluations/histories, prepares anesthesia plans, delivers all forms of anesthesia and follows up on anesthesia cases. The CRNA will consult and collaborate with the entire surgical care team, so outstanding interpersonal skills are essential. Marion VAMC provides cutting-edge surgical and procedural care to Veterans having standard surgical complexity procedures, including general surgical, ENT, orthopedic, ophthalmic, GI, vascular and podiatric surgery. Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM by rotation, with shared call responsibilities.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must possess or be able to obtain active U.S. graduate professional nursing license
Minimum of Masters’ Degree in AANA Approved, NLNAC/CCNE Accredited CRNA Program
Must have or be able to obtain Certification by Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
