We are currently seeking candidates Vice President of Clinical Services. The position is full time, 40 hours per week, in our Administration office. Available immediately we require a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration or related field. At least 7 years experience in a management role with the ability to work with clinical leadership and hospital Administration.
Strong interpersonal and conflict management skills. Commitment focused to quality of care and excellent service. Able to work in the areas of finance, business planning, strategic planning, and program development. Excellent leadership and communication.
The Vice President of Clinical Services provides oversight for and participates in determining the objectives, policies, processes and budgets for each of the departments listed below.
Laboratory: A full-service, CAP-certified laboratory for inpatients and outpatients ranging from newborns to seniors. Lab testing provided includes; Routine Chemistry, Therapeutic Drug/Toxicology, Special Chemistry, including fertility hormone testing, Hematology/Coagulation, Serology, including Lyme testing, Blood Bank/Immunohematology, Bacteriology, Urine, Stool, Glucose Tolerance, Drug Screening.
Radiology: MVH’s Radiology department is accredited by the American College of Radiology and staffed by radiologists from Massachusetts General Hospital. Inpatient and outpatient services currently provided include; 3D (Tomosynthesis) Mammography, Bone density screenings, CT Scans, Echo cardiograms, General X-rays, MRIs, and Ultrasound.
Pharmacy: Our pharmacy provides comprehensive services to patients admitted to the hospital, the Emergency Room, Windemere Nursing and Rehabilitation (attached nursing home), and infusion patients. The pharmacy is responsible for dispensary services (Pyxis) within the facility.
Rehabilitation and Wellness: This department provides physical, occupational and speech therapy services to both inpatients and outpatients. Our therapists provide individual and group care including, but not limited to, patient education, home and onsite exercise programs, and self-management strategies. A wide array of services is offered assisting with neck, back, hand, swallowing, pelvic, balance, posture, headaches, incontinence, vertigo, women’s health, ergonomics, stroke and brain injury, cognition, language function and articulation.
Substance Use Disorder Team: Our Substance Use Disorder Team (SUDT) offers assistance to the island community by providing resources and referrals to services that support a use-free lifestyle through patient assessment, crisis intervention, development and implementation of Individual Treatment Plans, and placement assistance to treatment programs. The SUDT consults with the Emergency Department, MVH Inpatient Care units, Primary Care Practices, Maternity and Employee Assistance Program.
Dental Clinic: Our dental center provides comprehensive oral health care services to children and adults. Services provided by the clinic include check-ups, X-rays, cleanings, fillings, crowns, periodontics, tooth extraction, endodontics and dentures.
