This position is responsible for the day-to-day functioning of long term care facility(ies) to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies in providing quality resident care.

Full time days, Exempt, 40 hours/week

Directs the planning and implementation of the long term care facility(ies). Manages the department given budgetary constraints and available resources.
Ensures initial and continuing competency of staff under their respective responsibility. Initiates recruitment, selection, and provides for training, development, coaching, and motivation of employees. Further, maintains and encourages a positive working environment through a variety of communication systems, positive recognition, intervention and practices resignation recovery.
Ensures quality resident care by fostering a positive resident/staff environment.
Counsels and supports families during the difficult periods of resident disease progression.
Manages and develops department budgets and ensures responsible use of resources. Oversees the financial performance of the department and accounts for any variances.
Promotes and markets the residence(s) to the public.
Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers of Foundation Health with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core and leader behaviors each and every day.

Must possess a strong knowledge of nursing as normally obtained through the completion of a bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field.
Requires current RN license in state of practice.
Must possess a strong knowledge and understanding of healthcare administration as normally demonstrated through a minimum of four years of progressively responsible administrative leadership experience in assisted living facilities and/or a healthcare related setting. Requires familiarity with Alzheimer’s disease and developmental disabilities. Must possess critical thinking skills with the ability to rapidly prioritize needs. Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels and demonstrate leadership ability and group facilitation skills. Requires the ability to develop strong relationships with suppliers and customers. Strong interpersonal skills are required. Requires excellent comprehension of laws, procedures, standards, and practices.
Analytical and critical thinking skills are required to integrate and interpret data from diverse sources. Must be able to integrate information to establish business priorities, decisions and budgets.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
